What Data We Collect

We only collect data that is necessary for the purpose for which it is provided: contact details (name, email, phone), reservation details (date, time, party size, dietary preferences), payment transaction data, catering/invoicing details, newsletter email address (consent only), and anonymised website analytics.

Purposes and Legal Bases

We process your data to fulfil reservations and orders (contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), for financial record-keeping required by Dutch tax law (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)), for customer service and complaints (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)), and for newsletters where you have given explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Retention periods range from 6 months (reservations) to 7 years (financial records, statutory requirement).

Sharing with Third Parties

We never sell your data. We share only with payment providers, our accountant, email marketing platforms (newsletter subscribers only), delivery platforms (only when you order through them), and authorities if legally required. All processors are bound by a Data Processing Agreement (GDPR Art. 28). No data is transferred outside the EEA without appropriate safeguards.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time. Submit requests to info@hethuisvanathidhi.nl; we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
